Southwestern Christmas Gallery
All of these photos were shot in the small picturesque village of Madrid, NM. These are all night photos and are best viewed in a darkened room since bright lighting tends to wash out the details and color. Madrid has a Christmas tradition of decorating the entire main street and associated shops. This custom dates back to the time when Madrid was a Santa Fe Railroad company town that supplied coal for the engines.
